Fantasy Podcasts

Podcasting is changing the world of the internet. Now you can find podcasts on any subject at all. And the great thing about podcasts is that you can have them served to you directly. You can subscribe and be notified when a new podcast is ready.

Don't Understand what a podcast is? It's easy. A podcast is an audio program delivered over the internet. You can download the file and play it in your Windows Media Player or any other player that plays MP3's. You can also just stream it to your player instead of downloading it.

The great thing about this new podcasting technology is that it makes it very easy for anybody with an idea to create their own radio program. Every week I podcast a new chapter of my Epic fantasy novel called Lion's Last Kill. People subscribe to it and automatically get the new chapter when it comes out. You can listen to a chapter by simply pressing the PuPu player button. It automatically runs and you don't have to download anything at all. Give it a try. What do you need to do? Need some podcast help or advice?

- You want to listen to podcasts but are not really sure what to do. It's easy, here is what you do:

• Download a free pod player. You can find one here: Ipodder.org I recommend you get the ipodder juice player
• Now just install it on your computer just as you would any other program.
• Now run it
• Now all you have to do is feed your new player
• When you are on a homepage with a podcast you will see a button that looks like this orange one (XML) sometimes the button might say feed ready or podcast ready. click on that button
• 
• NOw you come to a webpage that is a garbled mess of text, this text is not important. What you want is the url of that page, so highlight the url in the address bar at the top of your browser. It will look something like this : http://www.myfantasypage.com/podcast.xml
• Now find the add feed function in your new podcast player (probably the juice player) and just paste that url in
• and you are done. It will now check that podcast and update it as its found. You can track and manage and listen to all your podcasts this way.
