The development of helmets over the centuries
In the early centuries the construction of the medieval helmet was crude because metal working skills were still basic. These early helmets were often in the shape of a bucket or cylinder. But as Metalworking and Blacksmithing skills improved these helmets got stronger, lighter and better in shape and fit.
